Toyota Launches YouTube Green Design Channel

Oct. 16, 2007 Toyota's new Green Design channel features a series of minute-long videos highlighting environmental innovations from a wide range of sectors.

Toyota says the company-sponsored videos aim to inspire, showcasing ideas that enable us to "live greener" using modern technologies. Film subjects include a battery that runs on sugar, a carbon-neutral city, and a "lifecycle" textile factory that produces only biodegradable waste.

The videos have been produced as part of the Toyota's aim: zero emissions campaign, which focuses on minimizing emissions at all stages of the vehicle lifecycle from design and manufacture to use and recycling.
