New Online Tool Helps Marketers Calculate Green Impact of Individual Campaigns
Nov. 12, 2007 Marketers have a new online tool to help them increase brand value in environmentally conscious markets.
Noughtilus enables clients to forecast, report, and manage the environmental impacts from their marketing activities, according to the company website. Users enter various campaign details, such the number of flights incurred from the campaign, the circulation of ads printed, or the type of venue used to host an event, and Noughtilus calculates the impacts associated with that campaign.
Currently the tool is configured to calculate carbon emissions only, although plans are under way to extend the service to consider water use, e-waste generation, and land impacts, according to the company.
The goal is to create a mix of marketing approaches that generate less total environmental impact from activities and operations, the company says.
