Anheuser-Busch Employees Star in New Green-Themed TV Ads
April 14, 2008 - Anheuser-Busch is continuing its strategy to put
employees front and center in its green marketing efforts. The brewer,
which featured its own workers in a series of green-themed internet
promos last year, is set to air four new television ads in which
employees highlight the company's commitment to the environment.
The new TV spots show employees from Anheuser-Busch breweries in Fort Collins, Colo., and Jacksonville, Fla., discussing the company's efforts in energy conservation, recycling, and wildlife preservation. The commercials, timed to coincide with Earth Day, will air on ESPN's SportsCenter, FOX's coverage of Major League Baseball, and TNT's coverage of the National Basketball Association Playoffs, among other programs.
"The commercials feature just a few of our brewery employees who are focused not only on making the world's best-selling beers, but also on helping preserve and improve the environment in the communities where they live and work," says Carol Clark, Anheuser-Busch's vice president of corporate social responsibility.
The TV ads are likely edited versions of the internet videos Anheuser-Busch posted on its "Our Pledge" microsite last November. One video features a recycling dock operator at Anheuser Busch's Fort Collins brewery highlighting the company's recycling record while standing in front of a mound of aluminum cans.
