Green-Marketing Microsites a Smart Move, Survey Suggests
Nov. 14, 2008 - Consumers are as likely to find green product information online as they are to rely on traditional media, according to a new Yahoo survey. Sixty-eight percent of survey respondents ages 18-54 say they get their green-oroduct information online, while 72% prefer traditional media.
Of those who surf the web, 20% go directly to company websites. Just over half (51%) start with green information portals and 44% use search engines.
A growing number of companies are creating microsites to communicate their green programs to stakeholders. Cadbury and SAP recently launched new microsites designed to engage stakeholders on sustainability issues.
