Waste Management Inks Green Sponsorship Deal with St. Louis Rams
Dec. 20, 2007 Waste Management has signed on to underwrite the St. Louis Rams' new environmental stewardship program geared toward educating fans about their environmental impact.
Initiatives within the Rams program, dubbed "4R," range from introducing day-of-game recycling services at the Edward Jones Dome to purchasing renewable energy certificates to printing Rams season tickets on recycled paper stock.
In exchange for sponsorship, the Rams will feature the Waste Management logo on stadium signage and recycling bins, as well as on the scoreboard during game highlights. The deal will help increase visibility for Think Green, Waste Management's ambitious multi-billion dollar environmental program launched earlier this year.
The Rams 4F program will launch during the team's nationally televised home game finale against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Dec. 20. At the game, Waste Management will distribute stickers featuring a co-branded 4R logo to some 66,000 fans.
