Virgin Mobile to Green Up Product Packaging

Sept. 21, 2007 Virgin Mobile has turned to packaging and commercial printer BLP to ensure its printing gets greener, PrintWeek reports.

As part of the deal, BLP will print mobile phone cartons and SIM-card packs made of FSC-accredited materials using vegetable-oil based inks. BLP will also aim to minimize hazardous chemicals such as alcoholic sealers and solvents.
