Video: Google Execs Talk Up New Energy Meter Software

April 7, 2009 - In a recent YouTube video, Google executives talk about their prototype product that allows users to see detailed energy use information right on their computers. (via TreeHugger)

Google's new PowerMeter application, currently undergoing testing, tracks business or home energy use "right on [the] computer, almost in real time," according to Ed Lu, head of Google's engineering team.
