March 18, 2009 - Green:Net, a green IT conference and tradeshow set for next week, will be powering its Wi-Fi with solar-powered units provided by Meraki Solar.

Meraki, a San Francisco startup backed by Google, offers self-powering wireless hubs that the company says can cover entire neighborhoods with Wi-Fi access.

The Green:Net conference, organized by Om Malik of GigaOm and Katie Fehrenbacher of Earth2Tech, will be held March 24 in San Francisco.
