Baxter Eyes 45% Carbon Cut

June 20, 2008 - Healthcare giant Baxter has unveiled new environmental performance goals aimed at "driving long-term progress" - including a 45% drop in greenhouse gas emissions (from 2005 levels) by 2015.

Other goals for 2015 include reducing total waste generation 30% (again, compared to a 2005 baseline) and increasing R&D investment to improve access to healthcare for developing and emerging economies.

The new targets were announced in the company's 2007 sustainability report. Download a highlights brochure here (PDF) and the full report here (PDF).
