Cargill, Ford, Boeing Named to Portfolio's 10 Worst Polluters List

Feb. 26, 2008 - The March 2008 issue of Portfolio magazine calls out some of biggest names in corporate America, saying the companies "should be doing better" to protect the environment. The "Toxic Ten" list is, by the magazine's own admission, based on both scientific data and a healthy helping of subjective judgment. But it's interesting reading nonetheless.

The Toxic Ten, organized by sector, are:

  1. J.R. Simplot Co.
  2. Cargill
  3. Ford
  4. Boeing
  5. Apple
  6. Southern Co.
  7. American Electric Power
  8. Massey Energy
  9. Chevron
  10. Alcoa
