Microsoft's Vision for 2019: Home Smart Metering

March 3, 2009 - Microsoft has unveiled a five-minute video outlining a "Minority Report"-style world in which newspapers are no longer made of paper, students are taught on electronic blackboards, and every home comes equipped with a smart meter that encourages conservation by showing household energy use in real time.

The future according to the director and VFX team that MS hired

Ug. Lame. In that world, everyone would look like those on the Axiom. Just another example of a global company involved in virtually every facet of our lives focusing on the one tiny thing they care about--interactive and cool displays. Blah.
