National Public Radio has teamed with National Geographic to present a yearlong, globe-trotting series that explores how human activities are changing our planet's climate — and, conversely, how our altered climate is changing us. The audio series Climate Connections started this week on location at the Prime Meridian in Greenwich, England (also known as ground zero for the industrial revolution that helped get us into this mess). Over the next year the program will jump from hot spot to hot spot, heading east until it completely circumnavigates the globe. The project kicked off with daily reports this week from the U.K., and all segments are available for download as podcasts from NPR's website. Read more...
