Avis Reports 4% Drop in Emissions from Rental Fleet
The company says emissions have fallen by nearly 4% to an average of 157g/km per car between 2005 and 2007 — well below the average of 167.2 g/km for new vehicles sold in 2006. (Motoring News) Read more...
Corporate Climate Change Reporting Still Falls Short
Even companies with a good reputation for sustainability reporting are failing to report adequately on their impact on climate change, according to the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). Meanwhile, a separate reporting survey found that while many companies highlight new business opportunities created by climate change, they tend to shy away from risks associated with global warming.
