Climate Change Not a Priority for Big Business, Survey Shows
Nearly nine in ten large companies say climate change doesn't rate among their top priorities, taking a back seat to traditional business concerns such as competition, operational costs, innovation and technology, and the quest for new products and services. The Independent reports the results of a new Accenture survey showing that just 5% of big businesses consider global warming a top priority, and only 11% peg it at second or third place. Read more...

Alcoa Wants to Bump Aluminum Can Recycling Rate to 75%
Alcoa aims to raise the aluminum industry's used beverage can (UBC) recycling rate in North America from its current rate of 52% to 75% by 2015. 49% of Individual Investors Plan to Buy Green Stocks This Year
Individual investors view the environment as a major long-term investing opportunity, according to a new survey by Allianz Global Investors. About half (49%) of the 1,003 investors surveyed said that over the next year they were likely to invest in a company or mutual fund focused on environmental solutions. TerraPass's New Carbon Calculator for Business
Carbon offset provider TerraPass has created a free online calculator to help businesses assess their carbon footprints.
