Global Supply Chain Study Links Green Transport with Higher Profits

Companies that give high priority to green transport issues tend to make more money, according to a new study from logistics firm Eye for Transport. The survey of more than 500 large companies worldwide finds a strong correlation between those reporting the highest revenues and those emphasizing environmental performance in logistics operations. Coors, Abbot Set Greenhouse Gas Reduction Targets Coors has joined the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Climate Leaders program, pledging to reduce total greenhouse gas emissions 12% by 2010. Health care giant Abbott, a Climate Leaders participant since 2006, aims to cut emissions 2% by 2011.
