Boise Unveils New Line of Recycled Papers
Nov. 7, 2007 Boise Paper has launched a line of recycled-content office papers that the company says match the runnability, printability, and brightness of virgin papers.
Boise's new Aspen line of recycled-content paper products comprises a range of weights and uses, including laser printing and color copying.
Recycled office papers are considered environmentally preferable because the manufacturing process requires less water, less energy, fewer chemicals, and fewer trees than the process for producing non-recycled sheets.
Boise estimates that its recycled paper manufacturing operations save more than one million trees and divert about 120,000 tons of recovered waste paper from landfills each year. Boise's Jackson Alabama Mill, which specializes in recycled paper, processes more than 300 tons of post-consumer recovered paper each day, according to the company.
