Dell's New PC for Small Business Cuts Energy Costs 47%
May 29, 2008 - Dell has unveiled an energy-efficient PC designed exclusively for small businesses, which the computermaker says uses about half the energy of comparable models.
The new Vostro 410 comes pre-equipped with power-management settings that exceed energy-efficiency standards recommended by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. With these settings in place, the Vostro 410 can save customers up to 47% in annual energy costs, according to Dell.
"Small businesses are increasingly concerned about rising energy costs," says Frank Muehleman, vice president of Dell Small and Medium Business. "With the Energy Smart Vostro desktop, we're able to save our customers money and collectively cut down on CO2 emissions, while delivering high-performance processing power, graphics technology, fast networking and maximum expandability."
The Vostro 410 hits stores in the U.S. today.
