HP Pledges to Boost PC Energy Efficiency by 25%

Jan. 9, 2008 Hewlett-Packard has committed to reduce the energy consumption of its desktop and notebook PCs by 25% within the next three years. Making the announcement at the 2008 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, HP said it aims to meet its new goal by focusing on energy-efficient power supplies, low-energy chipsets, and advanced power management technologies.
